Following its critically acclaimed world premiere in Vancouver, C'mon, Angie! by Amy Lee Lavoie will receive its first Toronto production at The Assembly Theatre.
Presented in collaboration with the Spadina Avenue Gang, Leroy Street Theatre's new production of the exciting new Canadian drama will bring together artists from around the country. Directed by Montreal-based indie director, Cristina Cugliandro, the new production will feature Leroy Street Theatre's artistic director Anne van Leeuwen, and multi-award winning actor Ryan Hollyman.
A tense, vivid, human, and extremely timely new work, C'mon, Angie! is a fascinating, must-see drama from one of the country's most exciting playwrights.
This play contains discussions on themes of sexual assault that some might find triggering. Please email if you would like more information.
C’MON, ANGIE! was developed through Flying Start, a program of Touchstone Theatre that gives a stage to new professional playwrights. It was premiered by Touchstone Theatre in association with the Firehall Arts Centre in June 2018 at the Firehall Arts Centre in Vancouver BC. Subsequent script development supported by Imago Théâtre and Playwrights' Workshop Montréal.
